FULL NAME. Benjamin Campbell Carter
AGE. 22 - 23
OCCUPATION. Full-time student and graduate TA for American Literature at his university. He also puts in hours with his roommate at a local bookstore in order to keep up with the rent.

ABOUT. Benjamin Carter is your average man of charm, wit, and good taste... who fell in love with the 'wrong' kind of girl. She never respected him or their relationship, and spent months giving him the runaround, yet Ben loved her all the same. When he found her tangled up with his old roommate from his sophomore year of college, he was devastated.
Currently, Ben's pretty much a lovelorn mess. He's at a point where he can't look back on his old relationship in an objective manner; he's heartbroken, and doesn't believe he can ever love or be loved like that again. Luckily, like most hopeless romantics, Ben always has his eyes open, whether he realizes it or not.
FACTS. Plays guitar. Reads classic American literature for fun. Used to perform slam poetry until his ex-girlfriend told him it was stupid. Likes to travel. Spent his first semester of junior year studying abroad. Was the troublemaker/class clown from elementary school to high school. Talks in his sleep. Is secretly (or not-so-secretly) very insecure about himself and how others perceive him. Talks a lot, but keeps most things to himself.
LOOKING FOR.* I'd like to find a childhood friend line, or pair Ben up with one of the students enrolled in the class he assists with or a regular visitor at the book store where he works. I'm also up for brainstorming. I don't care how cliche the idea is; what matters to me is that your character is interesting and original.
